IN WINTER Bad Mitterndorf and Tauplitz share a 50-km modern ski slope system that can be accessed from Bad Mitterndorf and Tauplitz, which is 6 km away. In addition to the managed ski slopes, areas and tracks designated for freeride skiing are also available. There are also built-in children's educational tracks with a special "magic carpet" lift. It is also possible to go sledding in the evening on one of the designated slopes of the ski slope system. Bad Mitterndorf has tens of kilometers of extensive, varied cross-country skiing both in the valley and above the Alm. (Further ski slopes can be found within a 20 km radius with a few minutes' drive) After skiing during the day, we can relax our tired muscles in the most famous thermal baths in the area. Both Grimming Thermal Spa and Bad Heilbrunn are located in Bad Mitterndorf. IN SUMMER The immediate area has many hiking trails. Some of them are specifically mountain bike trails that lead on forest roads and mountain paths.
