Situated on the cusp of the National Park, it is a true bird watches paradise and hosts amazing wild life. Home to many native parrots and many other indigenous birds and animals. It is an ideal retreat for small groups and couples to enjoy some down time in an idealistic location.

I have lived in the area for 30 years. Originally from Perth, Western Australia. I fell in love with the Montville area after visiting many times and finally bought the property in January 2003. Believing that it is the type of property that needs to be shared we have set up 305 The Artist's Cottage to be a personal retreat for our guests. 305 is the perfect holiday destination to get away from it all. An exclusive private retreat for small groups or that romantic weekend away for couples. One that we are working on continually to improve. There is so much natural beauty to take in in Montville. And the Geographic's of our property showcases so much of that natural beauty. One that we enjoying sharing with our guests. Things I love about Montville. It’s always Green. The trees. The rain-forest. The views. The mist. The clouds cascading off the rolling hills. The temperature – it is generally up to 5 degrees cooler in summer and little more temperate than the Sunshine Coast in winter. The fresh clean air. The water falls. The amazing walks. The Obi Obi river winding its way through ancient gorges. No traffic jams – we don’t have a single traffic light! The birds especially king parrots. The wild life especially ginormous carpet snakes! It’s close proximity to our amazing beaches – only 30 minutes. The close proximity and the launching pad for the Sunshine Coast's hottest tourist destinations. Picnics at Baroon Pocket dam.
