Currimundi is one of the best beachside towns on the Sunshine Coast. Visitors are double blessed with a natural lake that connects to a long and unspoilt stretch of surf beach - it is the perfect place to relax for a weekend or extended holiday. Kids and adults alike love the lake's large expanse of water ideal for swimming, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. Over the dunes is an off leash, patrolled beach perfect for swimming, surfing and your furry friends! Both the lake and beach are pleasant spots for a picnic and there are also a number of tables and chairs as well as BBQ facilities. Alternatively, you can purchase food, drinks and ice-creams from lakefront cafes Thrills and Coco's. My home is a short walk to Currimundi beach, lake, cafés and a picturesque coastal pathway that extends 10km south past Caloundra and north all the way to Noosa. The local Woolworths supermarket is a short 5 minute drive and Kawana Shoppingworld complete with 160 specialty stores and cinemas is only 10 minutes by car.
