This 'Couples Retreat' is a cosy haven but also perfect to use as a base while discovering the surrounding food & wine region, walking tracks & the most beautiful beaches in Australia. Casa Swift is newly constructed & stylishly decorated, inc a four poster QS bed, spacious bathroom, reliable Wi-Fi, modern conveniences & off street parking.
Enjoy the bright airy feel of this inviting space. Depending on what your idea of a perfect 'getaway' is, you have plenty of options at Casa Swift. You may wish to spend a leisurely morning or even a whole day 'sleeping in' while enjoying the romantic solid "reclaimed timber" four poster bed or unwind after a busy day of wine tasting, eating and sight seeing on the comfortable leather sofa, in front of the cozy electric fireplace! Large sliding glass doors take you out to the covered pergola area where seating is provided. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine, cup of tea or a Nespresso coffee, while watching the abundance of local birdlife, especially the acrobatic swifts, as they swoop and fly by.
My partner Mark & I fell in love with the beauty of the McLaren Vale Wine Region & the Fleurieu Peninsula years ago and made it our mission to make it our home. Since moving here we have discovered so much more that it has to offer and are totally besotted with the landscape, the people and the food. Casa Swift is located in McLaren Flat, a semi rural setting where you have the best of both worlds. We are surrounded by wineries/cellar doors and gorgeous historic country towns that offer amazing food and wine but yet are only a 45 minute drive to the city of Adelaide. If you have ever been to Italy you may notice the similarity of our picturesque landscape to the rolling hills of Tuscany. Everywhere you look there is beauty. The Home Grain Bakery and The General Wine Bar are only a 3 minute walk (350metres) down the road, where you can buy not only delicious bakery items and the best coffee around but also basics like milk and eggs. There is a 3.6km walking / cycling path from McLaren Flat to McLaren Vale which now makes it a lot easier to take a walk to the Vale.
