Sylvia Lodge is a step back in time pre 1956 no TV no Wifi no aircon, Have a beak from this modern world. Read a book , talk to your partner, pat the dog Rocky. It is not a motel with modern luxury, but it is a very peaceful place you can hear the frogs in the garden and the birds in the morning that greet the day . Every place and person has faults ,if you are the sort of person that looks at faults instead of how amazing and different a place is, then do yourself and me a favor and stay somewhere not different and not amazing like a hotel.
It took me 53 years to move to Orbost and find a house that l belong to, Sylvia Lodge is truly a piece of history that l want people to experience and enjoy. The house was built in 1905 and hasnt changed much. It is the way life used to be, the way it should be, the way its going to be. Listen to the birds and the frogs, speak to a person face to face rather than through your phone, look at the stars and the moon.
Orbost is truly a step back in time, no traffic, no traffic lights its a very quiet place and never too busy even during the summer months. If you want peace and quiet then boy have we got a vacation for you.
