At HoriZen, we honour the heritage of our turn-of-the-century Victoria Farmhouse — maintaining many of historically significant features throughout the home, but perfectly melding in modern luxuries and personal touches to create a sense of hope, wellbeing and joy for all guests who pass through our hallways. From the moment you step onto the beautiful wrap-around porch and enter the warm wood entrance, you will feel at home in our home. As hosts, we strive to create not just a stay, but an experience of connection. The structure of the building is truly remarkable and it couldn’t have been more perfect for our vision. The home is perfectly divided to allow for both a mini hotel as well as our family home. The home has two entrance ways - allowing guests to have a private entrance and us to have our own family entrance. We live in the back of the home and do not share any spaces with guests making it much more enjoyable for everyone. We love spending time with you but we also value our time as a family. So we will give you a code to access the property and you can come and go as you please. However, we are always available if you need something. The ‘hotel’ side of the home has three floors and a beautiful wrap around porch as mentioned. The main floor features a huge entrance way filled with incredible woodwork, a parlor area to sit and hang out or catch up on the score of the game, and a dining area where you can enjoy a continental breakfast or a board game. The second floor of the home is completely dedicated to the hotel. This is where each of our four luxurious suites is located. All four suites have their own ensuite bathroom - making each room extremely private and relatively quiet. The second floor foyer hosts a fridge, microwave and coffee/tea station. The third floor of the home is an old attic turned yoga loft. This area is available for guests to use and all equipment is provided allowing for you to connect to your body and quiet your mind.

Located in Essex County, Leamington is a thriving town in Southern Ontario, renowned for its surrounding natural landscapes. Just minutes from HoriZen, guests can enjoy a peaceful walk across the Waterfront Promenade toward the Marina, while enjoying a picture perfect view of Lake Erie. Leamington is within a short 10-minute drive of the neighbouring town of Kingsville — a great place to find unique and tasty restaurants. Our Bnb is also within walking distance of the Seacliff Park Amphitheatre, a free concert venue with a prime location along the scenic waterfront. Settle in for some live music while watching the stunning sunset over Lake Erie. The ultimate island getaway is a short bike ride away from HoriZen. Ride your bike to the island ferry service centre and hop on board for a day of exploring Pelee Island. Point Pelee National Park of Canada is a 15-minute drive from downtown Leamington. Immerse yourself in nature as you explore adventurous hiking trails, view migrating birds and monarch butterflies in the Spring and Fall, and bask in the sun on some of Canada’s most pristine beaches.
