The receptionist was super helpful: she stayed in touch with the driver to get me there. Met me at the carpark - I would not have found the place on my own. Then she helped to organise transport to the airport which proved very challenging due to it being low season and almost no transport options available. The room was spacious, very quiet and great views over the rice terraces.

Great rooms great views. But the best was the staff I had to leave in a bit of an emergency and they made any and every effort to get me home in time with very reasonably place transport. that was very exceptional and I've never seen that anywhere else in China. Thanks again

Longji terrace Lavie hotel has great location and the views are amazing. employees are super friendly. the airconditioned rooms are large with balcony, the food is excellent and affordable (menucard has western and chinese and local food), kids like dumplings and french fries. all the other food was delicious. it is easy to walk to viewpoint westhill and also thousand layer terraces. we also went hiking to pingan. we found the houses in Dazhai much cleaner an comfortable than in pingan. the hiking is nice to to. our kids were 12 and 10. we walked 5,5 hours/17km. If you arrive by car/taxi there are two main roads, new road or the road via large parking place dazhai. take new road to hotel, much quicker and comfortable. if you go to Longji, i advice Dazhai and especially the Lavie hotel in Dazhai.

- the personnel was very nice and helpful, and knew English well enough. They provided us with lots of tips, and with a flash light and complementary hiking sticks; - the whole hostel is made of wood, and was very clean; - the room was very comfortable, with good beds, and a nice balcony with a great view of the rice fields; - the dinner we had there was very tasty, - lobby/restaurant looks nice; - our son had a iot of fun playing with the dog and cat of the hotel, which have been vaccinated for animal diseases. - the hotel has very good access to all the hiking paths

Amazing amazing amazing hospitality, friendly and helpful staff! Also views were lovely from the balcony and dining terrace. this is a more simple and local place, has cottage feeling to it, whereas there are these modern looking scandi style hotels with bathtubs, but there was something down to earth in this one. Balconies with views seem to be the one with twin beds, and as we had booked a double but it was a low season, we changed to twin beds to have the view.

The hosts LiLi and YueLi were super friendly. They helped me with finding transportation, finding hiking routes, provided food for me and (since it was off season and they got a bit of time on their hands) taught me MaJiang 麻将 the traditional chinese board game.
