Formerly known as Estrella, Moth & Twig is a romantic hidden bungalow located between Montezuma and Cabuya. This charming property is a short walk to to the beach and close to one of the famous surfing spots in the area. The bungalow is situated under the jungle canopy and attracts wild animals such as monkeys, agouties, pizotes, and many birds. June and Andrew welcome you to Moth & Twig. We have been traveling to this area for the past 13 years, charmed by the warm people and abundant nature. We finally decided to make the area our home. June is a mosaic jewelry artist, originally from San Francisco, CA. Andrew hails from SoCal. He managed independent record stores in SoCal and San Francisco. We live in the PNW part-time and Montezuma the rest of the time. Guests will be welcomed by hosts and given up-to-date hand drawn maps showing local attractions and restaurants.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Montezuma, Santa Teresa, and Mal Pais, our romantic hideaway is perfect for relaxing and soaking in nature. Yet you are close enough to enjoy everything the neighboring towns have to offer. 45 minute walk to Montezuma or Cabuya. Or you can hop on the local bus or take a taxi. We recommend you rent a 4WD so you can take advantage of all that the area has to offer.
