Our apartments are located in Prossen, an idyllic village directly on the Elbe. Beautiful hikes in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, forest walks, the local mountain "Lilienstein" in front of the door, throwing stones on the Elbe, picking bouquets of flowers, cruising on the Elbe with the historic paddle steamer, strolling through the city of Pirna, Dresden, Decin and Prague, visiting the National Park Center in Bad Schandau , ... there is a lot to enjoy for couples and families. Our apartment has two separate bedrooms with shared use of living room, kitchen and bathroom. So families or friends of friends can enjoy a relaxing vacation time together. Our apartments are equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Prossen is located directly on the Elbe bike path from Hamburg to Prague. We have around 15 bicycles of various sizes ready for our holidaymakers, which we can use for a small fee. Saxon Switzerland can be explored not only on foot but also by bike.
We, the Karsten family, have been accommodating holidaymakers in our house for 35 years. In the apartments there is a lot of information about things to see in the region. We are happy to help with more specific questions with excursion and hiking suggestions. We look forward to welcoming you to our apartments.
Rarely you get closer to nature than hiking in the national park. This is particularly true of Germany's only rock national park - the Saxon Switzerland National Park. The forested landscape with its bizarre rocks and cool gorges is not only one of the most beautiful hiking reefs in Europe. It also offers a unique variety of habitats for plants and animals. Here species which have long since disappeared and which require special protection are thriving. More than 1100 kilometers of marked trails, paths and paths invite you to go hiking in the national park region.
