The former fishing village of Lietzow is idyllically situated on the Jasmund peninsula in the north-east of the island of Rügen, at the narrowest point between the Great and Little Jasmund Bodden. A beautiful sandy, gently sloping beach with a playground, volleyball court and barbecue area on the Bodden invites families to swim and sunbathe, and both bays are also interesting fishing grounds. The cliffs and extensive forests are ideal for long hikes or cycle tours into the Jasmund National Park.
