Schmuggerow Castle is a former castle, which today opens its doors to you as a vacation home of a very special class for 36 people (including 3 sleeping places for children only), making it ideal for group trips or private celebrations. The property was built in 1871 by the famous architect Paul Otto Brückwald in neo-Baroque style. It was a stylish gift for the daughter of Count Maximilian von Schwerin. The former castle, which welcomes you on the edge of the Uckermark in the beautiful landscape of Western Pomerania, was rebuilt and restored in 1997 according to old drawings and reports. The estate stands on the edge of the village in a rural setting, surrounded by large fields and forests. Today, the building once again exudes the flair of the grand Wilhelminian period and is only rented as a whole. The vacation home has 9 suites. On the 1st floor there is a banqueting hall with a 'Swedish room' to drink tea together, play cards or watch TV. From the hall you can access a large terrace with a magnificent view of the park-like natural landscape. From here you can listen to a fantastic birdlife and enjoy a glass of wine at sunset. In the basement there is a vaulted dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a small bar to celebrate with friends in the evening. Here you will also find the billiard room, a table tennis table and a TV room with separate stairs to the 'Swedish room'. Sauna, showers and WC's are also located there.
