FinlandThe property had recently come into mew ownership (which, falling with the lockdown period can’t have been easy for trade) so there are plenty of things that need touching up or modernizing, if there is the budget. Arriving unwell, my initial thought was to just leave. I’m so glad we didn’t!! We picked Kopu for the access to the national park. The swim in the bog was the highlight. There is also a lovely lake within walking distance from the motel which meant cooling off each day was nice. But one thing we’ve encountered more than ever before in the south (compared to home in Tallinn) was the horse flies which are everywhere. After the final swim last night which was cut short because of them, I literally had a mini swarm of then on me!
