The Alameda de Sevilla is a large square lined with poplars and located in the San Lorenzo district, very close to the city's main tourist attractions. It is the oldest public garden in Europe and the largest within the old part of the city. It has a great attraction and is a very busy area for both Sevillians and visitors. It is a safe environment at all times. It is an ideal place to enjoy the open air and its many bars, restaurants, cafes..., ideal to enjoy the day and nightlife of Seville. It is often the venue for fairs, street markets and different shows. It is flanked by four statues on Roman columns. Two of them are of Julius Caesar and Hercules and the other two are lions with the coats of arms of Spain and Seville. It is the birthplace of singers, dancers and bullfighters. Some of them are represented by sculptures that immortalise them. The best way to get around the area is on foot, you have the possibility to visit Seville on foot from this unbeatable location. If you need parking, you can park patiently in the surrounding streets or use the Imagen public car park a 10 minute walking distance away.
