Casa en la Plaza was bought in 2003 as a family home. It was uninhabitable, but with loads of hard work, it was transformed. Since moving here permanently in 2015, the house has undergone even more changes. What were the children's rooms, on the 1st floor, were totally refurbished, as was the bathroom, to make the spacious, comfortable rooms they are today. We do hope to welcome you as we both enjoy sharing this unique part of Spain with others.

Hinojares has the feel of a village, but is, in fact, the smallest town in Jaen province. THINGS TO DO: The area is a fabulous place to spot soaring eagles, vultures or kites. Walking, bird watching, horse riding (there are stables in the village) and cycling are very popular activities here. Some of the many PLACES to VISIT: *Cuevas del Agua (water caves) & a shrine to the Virgin of Tiscar (free). *Freila & Zujar with their access to Negratin embalse (free). *Zujar thermal pool (small charge). *Castril, a beautiful village with bars and a fabulous gorge walk (small charge). *Baza, our nearest largish town with usual shops and restaurants. I can highly recommend a Guided Walking Tour. There's also a really interesting Bodega Tour & Wine Tasting.
