Walking through the streets of Vegueta is an exercise in history that allows the visitor to pause in some of the most intense chapters of the city and is home to museums such as the Casa de Colón, the hermitage of San Antonio Abad, the Plaza Santa Ana, etc. Before leaving the district of Vegueta you can visit the Guiniguada Theatre or stroll around the market, which dates back to 1854.
