A good part of the promenade of Cadiz corresponds to the so-called new area of the city, with around 3 square kilometers and inhabited by more than 50,000 people. This area is closely linked to La Victoria beach: the Paseo Marítimo runs parallel to it (pedestrian, with a bike path and a road for motor vehicles). With no doubt, this is one of the most pleasant areas to walk. Above all, at sunset, when the sky, the Atlantic and the urban profile of historic Cadiz come together in truly impressive shapes and colors. As for the Victoria beach, it is the largest of the urban coastal sandbanks of Cadiz. Several beach bars on Playa Victoria remain open mostly all year long and generally offer both good gastronomy, coffee and a snack in the mid-afternoon or even drinks early in the evening. It is a very well connected area, with a bus stop on the same avenue and supermarkets in the surroundings.
