## The space This home is a bright and comfortable place to call your home away from home. It is located in a building of 1928 which gives it a special character. It has been restored highlighting the original architecture of the apartment, original restored doors, high ceilings and lots of light. The real highlight of the home though is the cosy decor, which lends a stylish marine feel to the room and creates a unique sense of personality in the home. The living area has lovely finishing touches to create a relaxing place to stay. Take the weight off your feet, chill out on the sofa and make yourself at home! In the kitchen, you’ll find all the modern appliances you need to cook a delicious meal that you can serve in the table fit for four. The master bedroom has a super comfortable double bed with fresh hotel-quality linens. There’s also ample storage and wardrobe space so you can fully unpack and settle in. Black-out blinds keep the room dark so you can always get a good night’s rest and wake up refreshed. The second bedroom, meanwhile, boasts two single beds, also fitted with superior-standard linens to ensure you enjoy a great night’s sleep. The third room has a single bed, also prepared for a good rest. You can freshen up in the well-appointed bathroom where you can wake up in the morning to an energizing shower. Towels and toiletries are provided. ## The neighborhood The apartment is located in l’Hospitalet, which is a suburb in the west of Barcelona located around 15 minutes from the centre of the city and just 20 minutes from the airport via public transport. Barcelona expanded in the 1960s and many people moved to L’Hospitalet looking job opportunities, making it diverse and rich in culture. The area is home to Fira de Barcelona, which hosts more than 120 trade shows annually, so if you’re visiting for business, this area will be convenient. Despite its modern commercial expansion, the area is home to several ancient Roman ruins and evidence of settlements even earlier, making Hospitalet de Llobregat one of Catalonia’s oldest neighbourhoods. You can learn more about the rich history of the area with a trip to the local Museum of History or by stepping inside the oldest surviving building in the city, the Santa Eulàlia de Provençana, which dates back to the 1100s. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat has plenty of amazing places to eat out, but for the range of the menu, the reasonable prices and the friendly atmosphere, L'hospirineos has to be the top pick. Córdoba bar is also a top destination for Andalusian tapas as well as being a great place to grab a beer in the evening. Finally, for a late-night party spot, try Mood Factory for live music concerts or Deposito Legal bar for a cocktail. ## Getting around Collblanc tube station on the Blue line is the closest station (10 min walk). The number LH1 and M12 buses towards the city centre run from are located a couple of minutes away from the flat.
