Delightful hosts! I was alone in the house the first couple of nights but got to visit with the hosts sometimes in the day. Sheila even gave me a tour of the town. Very outgoing and a real pleasure to get to know. For the accommodations, I was expecting a shared bathroom, but she made the ground floor toilet private for me and my room had a sink and shower, so all that was a very pleasant surprise.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, we loved the atmosphere of the place it was so welcoming. The beds were comfortable and our children loved it. All the bedding and towels were crisp and clean and we got a really good nights sleep. The roof terrace was a bonus and a lovely place to have breakfast.

I loved the location! We stayed in the top room which had a secret terrace location which was amazing and if we were there for longer than 1 evening would have made lots of use for it.

There was plenty of space for ourselves. The bedroom was comfortable and the ensuite shower good with a toilet next door. Right in the centre of a lovely town with plenty of places to eat locally.

On the way to the accommodation our car was broken into, so our arrival was very much delayed. The hosts offered to set up a guest room in their private house so that we could still have a place to sleep even late after check in time. On the way, we then also had a car breakdown, so that we unfortunately could not reach the destination at all. The hosts were super understanding and have even transferred us our full money back. Unbelievably sweet! So we did not meet them but are pretty sure they are super kind people! Many many thanks again!

Sheila is an amazing host, friendly and kind. The location was great for us as we were coming from Spain and wanted to stop in France before we got the ferry from Roscoff the next day.. The apartment is beautiful amalgamating the old with the new. Had a comfortable bed and a great shower. A quiet location set in a pretty historical town. Great price over all a very good experience. Superb location in a centuries-old building right in the square of a beautiful village. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, Sheila, and learn more about the area. She was also very helpful in advising me of the best room to choose, as I needed to do some work while I was away. The bonus of the top floor room - which is massive - was the roof terrace. I made good use of the shared fridge and kitchen by shopping at the local supermarket - which has a great range of organic produce btw. However there are ample cafes and restaurants within a few paces of the guest house. The 14 July celebrations were on my doorstep, which was fun, and then the gorgeous produce market on the weekend.

Beautifully located in a wonderful little town. Ruffec has everything you need. Sheila is a lovely welcoming and helpful host, she even took me to show the surrounding area. She is also an accomplished artist and the art gallery displays her beautiful work. No breakfast, which I knew, but a small communal kitchen for all three rooms, which was fine. It was a very pleasant stay indeed.
