There is also a large salon overlooking the village square, with 3 sofas and chairs and a TV including Canal + and Netflix. The property has 3 bathrooms, one being ensuite to the master bedroom.

I am a retired film editor, and have lived and worked in London for 25 years. I love music, still playing guitar! My wife and I now live in France and have two properties here, one of which we have fully converted and modernised to let as a gite. In the heart of the Lot valley, between Cajarc and Figeac, Saint-Pierre-Toirac is a small, charming village overlooking the river, with a permanent population of around 140 people Surrounded by nature, it is proud of its fortified Romanesque church from the 12th century. You will discover very old medieval houses, sometimes equipped with a bread oven, the fountain, the wash house, the Place aux Herbes, typical Quercy dovecotes. The village is unique in the area having a central square (on which our villa is situated) and has not only a Pizzeria but an Épicerie stocked with all the essentials including wine and beer and from which can be ordered bread and croissants on a daily basis. There is also a small children's playground in the village and the Lot river is a 10 minute walk away. The surrounding areas are full of stunning castles and chateaus, together with many places of interest and viewpoints detailed in our guest guidebook.
