We bought this apartment in Isola 2000 in 2009 when the building was newly built. It is 200m from the resort centre and ski lifts so very easy to access on foot or park for free on the side of the pistes. Having stayed in many apartments and hotels in Isola prior to purchasing, the quality of the apartments plus the spa and pool area are what really makes it outstanding and a luxurious property to stay in. Our apartment is at exactly 2,200m. As well as winter skiing, the summer is also an excellent time to visit Isola with many activities laid on by the resort to attract tourists from the Cote d'Azur. Please note that the pool/spa area, restaurant, reception and WiFi access are only available during mid/high season which is generally from the beginning of December until mid-April then in July, August & early September. Outside of these periods, the apartment can still be booked but the resort is almost closed during May, the first half of June, the last 2 weeks of September and in October and November. The apartment is often booked in May and early June by serious/professional cyclists for training at altitude and in preparation for the Tour de France and the Vuelta.

My name is Gillian and I am married with 2 children. Born a Francophone, I did my university degree in French and lived in France quite a bit when I was younger. I also own an apartment near Cannes which we also rent out. I love skiing and cycling so Isola is the perfect destination for me.

At Isola 2000, you have access to 120km of pistes over 22 lift systems. The resort offers 42 pistes, 3 blacks, 11 reds, 21 blues, 7 greens from 1800m to 2610m. Being a high altitude resort, Isola has a strong snow record however it also has artificial snow-making facilities in terms of 430 snow cannons with 75 % of the slopes having snow-making capabilities. Obviously, skiing and snowboarding are the main sports in winter but in the summer as well as the alpine sports, there are also fantastic day trips to be had in the neighbouring market towns and trips up to mountain tops such as the infamous Col de la Bonette. Isola is just a couple of miles from the Italian border so you can drive over the top and into the next country.
