If you prefer a peaceful stay or a change of scenery to work during lockdown with no interruptions whilst enjoying the view over the vines this makes an ideal retreat. There is a free 5G wifi box and access to print services if required. Everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay is included; a fully equipped modern kitchen, king size bed, Sonos to play all your favourite music and digital TV including Netflix, Apple & Amazon for those comfy nights in.

The gite is set within the same grounds as the main house where the owners live. They will be on hand to welcome your arrival and make sure you have everything you need throughout your stay whilst respecting your privacy. The owners can offer a range of hampers from Champagne & Chocolates, Gourmet Cognac tasting or Breakfast - delivered to your door and will be happy to make recommendations of places to visit or great restaurants to try. Dog sitting/walking services are available on request for an additional fee.

The property is surrounded by vines in a truly beautiful setting. The gite is set in the grounds of the main 'maison maitre' house where the owners reside within 6 acres of land. Verrieres is a small quiet hamlet with a local tabac within a few kilometres walk with plenty of walking & cycling routes accessible from the property along the many 'chemin blanc' pathways. There are local Cognac distilleries who will be more than happy to demonstrate the Cognac making process. The towns of Archiac 6km, Segonzac 10km and Cognac 20km where you will find weekly markets & supermarkets. A little further away you will find the city of Bordeaux, famous for its wine of course or there is the beautiful port of La Rochelle and the beaches at Royan, all within an hours drive. For all those wine lovers then St Emilion is definitely worth a visit - a charming medieval village located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux wine area. It is a UNESCO heritage site where you will find world-famous wineries, fine wine, beautiful architecture and great monuments. Discover the many beautiful Chateau’s by bicycle or take a Tuk Tuk tour.
