A traditional Ardéchoise stone farmhouse le Vitirer sits at the end of a tiny country road amongst 25 acres of evergreen oak woodland and cherry and apricot orchards. Easily accessible to all local amenities the farm is less that one kilometre from the hamlet of Lubac and 4 Kilometres from the village of St Jean de Muzols and busy market town of Tournon-sur-Rhone. Perched on a hillside overlooking the vineyards of Hermitage and has expansive views of the Monts de Vercors, le Vitrier enjoys a calm and peaceful setting. The gîte is equipped with all modern comforts designed to make guests stay pleasurable and homely.

For the past 18 years we have been discovering the pleasures of living in this area of the Ardèche and have grown to love the many benefits it offers and the close proximity of the neighbouring regions. New discoveries and opportunities seem to appear with each year and we have become truly at home in this rich and welcoming area of France.

This region of France boasts some influential names on the world stage, but equally prides itself in it's traditional and more simple luxuries. Grand Cru Hermitage and Côte-Du-Rhône vineyards exist happily along side the famous Sources du Grand Chocolat of Valrhona, with a number of gastronomic Michelin starred establishments from one to three to enjoy. But also not to be missed are the beauty and simplicity of local hillside villages, the pleasure of travelling on a traditional lovingly tended local Steam Railway into the Gorges du Doux valley and discovery of super fresh market produce of fruits, meats and cheeses. These pleasures offer equal temptations to explorers of regional authenticity. This is an area for families with many activities to enjoy both natural and planned, including canoeing, swimming in rivers and lakes where picnic spots abound, Horse and Donkey riding, cycling, fabulous walking itineraries at every level, museums, Abbeys, Grottes and more, all within easy access of le Vitrier.
