luxurious Corsican stone house, 270 m2 near the 14 century village of Calenzana, 10 km from the white sandy beach of Calvi. Calm in the country side which is much more quiet in the summer then on the coast, no property facing, 5mn by foot from a great bakery and a restaurant. You can have lunch and dinner on a 45m2 terrace crafted in teak, with barbecue and panoramic view, or beside the 5m x 10m pool among the olive and citrus trees. Parking on the premises,. Ping Pong table. Tennis court at 5mn from the property, golf course,The house is tranquil, romantic, perfect for a holiday with family or friends, you can either go swim in 10 minutes on a beautiful white sandy beach or take a dip in the stream near the house. Many great local and fish restaurants are available in the area, it's possible to buy fresh fish directly to the fishermen. Walking Corsica's GR20 high mountain start's in Calenzana, the olive oil festival is in Montegrosso every summer, vineyard tours are possible all year and many water sports are proposed on the different beautiful beaches in the region. Some of the beaches with incredible crystal clear blue water and completely unspoiled nature are not crowded in the summer and we are happy to share those beautiful sites with our guests every year. Visting by boat the reserve of Scandola (protected by the Unesco) is a must, the Fango stream (Unesco protected) with its pink and blue rock swimming pools is fantastic.
The seaside region of Balagne is the most beautiful in Corsica, much more authentic, less crowded and overbuilded then the south of the island. It has crystal clear beaches like in the caribbean, high montain's like the Swiss Alps and medieval hiltop villages like in Italy. The Balagne area is also called the garden of Corsica with it's beautiful oliver trees dating from the Roman time and it's production of oranges and lemons. With its medieval hilltop villages, the,Pigna music festival, San Antonino one of its most ancient towns, the roman chapel in Lumio. Calenzana with the chapel of St Croix, the grand procession of St Restitude, it's music festival, the start of the GR20 trail, the convent of Alzipratu now the name of one of France best red and white wines, Lunghignano famous for its former oil mill, Moncale and the best honey of Corsica, Aregno and its almond fest, Cateri with it's Franciscan convent still inhabited by a religious order. Calvi set between mountains and sea, its bars, restaurants, shops bordered by a protected and wild coast, numerous white sandy beaches and crystal turquoise waters like Ostriconi, Saleccia, Bodri, Revellata surended with a beautiful and unspoiled nature. The forest of Bonifato, the wine growing region, the wild scenery of the Agriates desert, local bio markets, and rich history of the region. Visting by boat the reserve of Scandola (protected by the Unesco) is a must, the Fango stream (Unesco protected) with its rock swimming pools is fantastic. Other Activities: Sailing, hiking, wind-surfing, scuba diving, night club etc... Airport Calvi at 15 mn drive from the house or Bastia 2 hours drive with flights from Heathrow to Geneva and Geneva to Calvi every saturday with Swissair.
