Welcome to Maison Billot. Andy and I moved here in August 2017 with our 4 dogs. It has taken us 18 months to renovate our town house into a Chambre D'Hotes. The house was originally built in 1796 and belonged to the same family Billot until January 2016 when a lady bought the property but then sold it to us the following year. It is ideally situated in the very heart of the town, opposite Le Halle, giving easy access to the town. There is lots of character in the house which we love which we hope you do too. We have drying facilities and a garage to store you cycles/motorbike in.

Andy and I moved here from the UK for a better quality of life. We have 4 dogs and enjoy exploring the surroundings with them. I enjoy running, Andy is a keen cyclist and we both enjoy exploring the area with our four dogs. We have 4 children between us who are in the UK, Norway and Australia. We pride ourselves with our knowledge of information for walks, cycling routes, running routes, relaxation and of course cafe/bars. We speak a little French and are keen to learn the language. Our dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms or in the dining area when we have guests. They are very friendly and we love them very much. Please note if you are allergic to dogs/dog hair then Maison Billot probably isn't appropriate for your stay.

Treignac is like the Lake District of France. It has a cold winter November-March but a fantastic summer all through to October. The area has fantastic lakes where you can hire paddle boards, canoe's, kayak's etc. Lake Bariousses is our nearest lake 2kms away. It has superb activities also a cafe/bar and restaurant. There are a variety of walks all clearly signposted and marked and the area is excellent for road cycling and mountain biking. Brive is 40 minutes drive away and Limoges 1 hours drive. Treignac hosts canoe/kayaking championships every year in the month of June and we will have the World Championships returning in 2022 having already been hosted here in 2019. This year, in July 2020, Treignac is also on the route of the Tour De France. Fantastic walks whereby you can go on a guided walk with the tourist information group or we can take you on one of our walks. We love the area, the hills, the people and the wildlife.
