The link from Le Plan to the ski areas of Combloux and Megève means skiers have lots of choice - more than 100km of pistes in the Portes du Mont Blanc area, and still more in the larger Evasion Mont Blanc area, which covers Megève, St-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas de Veroce and Les Contamines. If you're still looking for more, you're just a short drive from the La Clusaz ski area, which has more than 200km of pistes. There's just as much to do in the summer - choose from walking, climbing, mountain-biking, summer luge, picnics, or just enjoy the 360-degree views from the top of some of the ski lifts. The Col des Aravis, a familiar scene in the Tour de France, is also nearby.
