We are keen to help our guests experience the best of what this city and area has to offer - whether this be in the high quality ingredients in our breakfast or the attention to detail in guests' rooms.

The immediate neighbourhood is full of architectural and historic gems. Everywhere is accessible on foot. Within 10 minutes you can be at York Minster, the National Ceramics Gallery, the National Railway Museum, the York Theatre Royal and numerous independent shops and art galleries. We are just off Bootham, a beautiful avenue which is famous for its interesting galleries and shops. The city walls are just around the corner and you can enjoy wonderful views from many of the rooms here. 23 St Mary's is located on a quiet street of historic townhouses and we are fortunate to have no passing traffic so although you are right in the middle of town, you can hardly hear any noise.
