The Neighbourhood The holiday home is located on a development of similar properties at the heart of the popular village of Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula. It is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the nearest beach, while shops, cafes and restaurants are even closer. Abersoch's long sandy main beach is relatively sheltered, plus there’s an exclusion zone for motorboats that makes it suitable for paddling and swimming. A water sports haven, you can try paddleboarding, hydrofoiling, dinghy sailing and more with Abersoch Sailing School at the beach, or with a host of professional water sports providers that are located on the village high street. If you are looking to relax then you may prefer to sit back and watch the sailing regattas that are held during the summer months. The Llyn Peninsula is a beautiful region with pretty villages including Nefyn, Aberdaron and Llanbedrog, as well as the bustling market town of Pwllheli, to explore. For walkers, the Wales Coastal Path weaves along the Llyn Peninsula, taking in a host of beaches, coves and headlands. There are trails of varying lengths and you can hop on and off where you please, but if you want a good workout the routes around the headlands at Uwchmynydd, Llanbedrog, Cilan and Porth Neigwl (Hells Mouth) are sure to build up your appetite. Getting around A car is advised for the convenience of getting to this property and exploring the region. However, the nearest railway station is at Pwllheli which is about a 15-minute drive away. The Cambrian Coast Railway route from Pwllheli follows the Welsh coast and takes in many beautiful places including Criccieth, Harlech, Aberystwyth, Aberdovey and Barmouth, making a great day out for all the family. There’s also a bus service that covers the peninsula, including the Llyn Coastal Bus that operates a tourist timetable in the summer months.
