9 Prospect House is a light, sunny second floor apartment, situated just minutes from the coast path in Hallsands. With three bedrooms (One double bedroom with en-suite, one king-size bedroom and one single bedroom with a small single bed), one bathroom and a shower room, the property sleeps five guests. The spacious living area boasts a Juliet balcony with views stretching to Start Point lighthouse and beyond. Additionally, guests have use of the communal gardens, outdoor swimming pool, and all-weather tennis court. Suitable for couples and smaller families, 9 Prospect House is the perfect bolthole for a coastal retreat. Parking for one car at the property plus visitor bays nearby. This property accommodates five guests comfortably, but can sleep up to six people. Futon available in single room to sleep one note this is not a specific holiday complex: there are full time residents on site all year round so please be respectful of the swimming pool is open from May - mid September (subject to change without further notice). Due to restrictions the swimming pool may not be open during your bed linen and bath/hand towels are supplied. You will need to bring your own tea towels and towels for the pets permitted. Hallsands is a small village near Start Point, one of the most southerly points on Devon’s coastline. The sheltered South Hams Peninsula is in 'deepest Devon', a pastoral landscape of flowering hedgerows and ancient sunken lanes, carved into by the richly wooded Avon and Dart Valleys. This quiet fishing village, with its dog-friendly, unspoilt beach, is situated next to the historic ‘old village’ of South Hallsands, which was washed away by a storm. Just three miles away, providing a popular walking route along the South West Coast Path, is popular Beesands Beach which has its own gastro pub and shop. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is decorated with white, pink and ochre thatched cottages, picturesque fishing ports such as Dartmouth, and is renowned for its stunning coastline, popular with yachting enthusiasts. Much of the clifftop land has been acquired by the National Trust, a haven for bird watchers and walkers. Nearby, uncover the beauty of Blue Flag awarded Blackpool Sands, a family friendly beach, and Torcross, a historic site where the Normandy landings were practiced. For nature lovers, explore the nature reserve at Slapton Ley, adjacent to the long stretch of beach at Slapton Sands. Park at East Portlemouth and catch the passenger ferry across to the beautiful sailing town of Salcombe with its renowned estuary, or visit the Start Point Lighthouse, less than a mile away. Hallsands is a wonderful base for uncovering the unspoilt beauty of Devon and the South Hams, all year round.
