Alexander House is a large, elegant, detached house, tucked away on a quiet private track in the quintessential holiday village of Thorpeness which was inspired by J M Barrie’s Peter Pan. This idyllic house is just a short stroll down to the beautiful beach, and the Meare, both perfect for creating lifelong memories with the children! Thorpeness is every child's dream holiday with easy access to the beach and the Meare. The Meare is a boating lake with connections to J M Barrie's Peter Pan. You can discover the islands with a pirates den and dragon's lair along with other hidden treasures. The Dolphin and The Kitchen both provide food with local provenance and can provide takeaway. Heading along the coast, Aldeburgh has lots of different restaurants, cafes and bars and a busy High Street with lots of independent shops. If you fancy doing more than simply enjoying the beach, Alexander House has views out onto the golf course which welcomes visitors and if you would like to play tennis the Country Club offers weekly membership. Dragging yourself away from the beach there are lots of other places to explore in the local area. Further up the coast, the RSPB Wildlife Reserve at Minsmere is worth a visit.
