There is a beautiful river only a couple of minutes from the property which you can walk along and it takes you directly into the town Mill area and it is a lovely walk to the sea and shops The nearest train station is Axminster which is on the Exeter to London Waterloo line. There is a good bus service to Axminster or in the opposite direction to Bridport. Let me know if you need any local taxi telephone numbers but Causley Cabs and Jurassic Taxis both offer a great service. There is a small Tescos and a Co-op in Lyme Regis plus lots of other independent shops which will easily accommodate you with most things but if you wanted to do a bigger shop ,then in Seaton ,which is only about 8 miles away you have a big Tescos and an Aldi Lyme Regis is a very special place to stay. It has a strong arty vibe with many wonderful independent shops and art galleries. It is an unspoilt , quaint seaside town aptly named the ‘Pearl of Dorset’. Lyme Regis remains on of the most searched for places to stay in the UK and it is no wonder that people come back year after year.
