Briar Lea is a fantastic three-bedroom bungalow tucked away in a quieter part of Aldeburgh, yet just a few minutes drive to the High Street. This dog-friendly option is light, bright and spacious throughout with a large garden and summerhouse. It also benefits from plenty of free parking which is a rarity in Aldeburgh! A brilliant choice for friends and family looking to be close to shops, restaurants, pubs and the beach.

Aldeburgh beach makes for a most enjoyable day of skimming stones, jumping waves and tucking into a portion of the famous fish and chips straight from the bag. Strolling along the Crag Path, you cannot help but notice the traditional fish huts selling freshly caught and smoked fish. Ash Smoked Fishes sells a tasty selection of smoked treats. Heading North, it is possible to walk along the beach to Thorpeness with its Peter Pan inspired Meare and golf course. Aldeburgh has a thriving arts, music and literary scene and hosts a number of events throughout the year. The town is closely linked with composer Benjamin Britten and The Red House offers a snapshot into the composer's life and time in Aldeburgh. A short drive from Aldeburgh is the village of Snape and its popular Maltings. Each year the annual Aldeburgh Festival is held at Snape Maltings. As well as having several music venues, the Maltings has a number of independent shops and restaurants, and is the home of the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival - a two day event celebrating locally produce. If heading further afield for the day, you can opt to go along the coast in either direction to Southwold or Orford to enjoy an abundance of fresh sea air, or venture inland to explore all that rural Suffolk has in store. The market town of Framlingham is worth a visit if you have the time. There is a market held twice a week on Market Hill and the famous castle is certain to be a hit with the whole family. Framlingham also has a number of restaurants, cafes and pubs so there's no excuse for a rumbling tummy. Watson & Walpole serves authentic Italian cuisine and 221B Bakery is great for picking up a freshly baked pastry or delicious treat.
