Totnes, along with being seeped in history, has lots to see and do, so a holiday home in the town makes the perfect base for exploring the area and what it has to offer. Some attractions close by include Totnes Castle which is easy walking distance of the town centre and is a Norman motte built after the conquest in 1066. You can still walk up the sloping stairs from the base of the castle to reach the top, which is an excellent viewing point across the whole of Totnes and across to the River Dart. Beach 6 miles.
