Castle Cottage 2 in part of the self-catering cottages at Ardtornish Estate. It is a semi-detached stone cottage overlooking the mouth of the River Aline, below Kinlochaline Castle. It has a substantial garden with wonderful views over the water, just perfect for watching the wildlife that flocks to the shores. Otters and Pine Marten are often spotted from the garden. The comfortable sitting room has a log burner and a bay window overlooking the loch. The well equipped kitchen/dining room has a washing machine & tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, electric oven and hob. The 3 bedrooms comprise of 1 double room, 1 twin room, and 1 room with bunk beds. The bathroom has a full size bath with electric overhead shower. The sitting room features a TV with Freesat, DVD player & iPod docking station. Starlink WiFi is included, as is a starter pack of logs nd kindling for the burner. More logs are available to purchase from the Estate Courtyard. Dogs are welcome in this property at a charge - Max 2.

Where to start with things to do while holidaying at Ardtornish? Whilst a lot of the Scottish Highlands have become inundated with visitors, the local area really has managed to remain somewhat of a secret from the usual tourist routes. It is pure, untouched beauty. Morvern and neighbouring Ardnamurchan are one of the most abundant places in the Highlands to see Pine Martens, Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles and Otters, with Red Squirrel sightings becoming increasingly common, making the area very popular with wildlife lovers. If you are looking to spend some adventerous days with us, local activity providers offer SUP's, mountain biking, target sports, guided walks, photography day trips, guided wild swimming and wildlife watching tours. There are also a few fantastic restaurants in the area which come highly recommended. Just a ten minute drive from Ardtornish, you can catch a ferry from Lochaline onto The Isle of Mull, giving you access to the famous village of Tobermory and the romantic Isle of Iona with it's majestic abbey ruins. Whilst we are remote, the village of Lochaline is just 3 miles from the door and offers a well stocked shop, pub, post office, laundry services and pontoons
