The room was lovely and cosy with a great on suite. The hosts were really helpful in helping me get around, lifts to train station and borrowing an ebike, and provided recommendations for local sites to visit. The hospitality was exceptional with a lovely communal sitting area with a log fire and delicious cooked breakfasts which would order the night before.

Church Villa B & B is a charming cottage, full of character and with modern comfort within easy reach of the Peak District. Come and stay to explore local historic houses, some great walking country and beautiful places to visit by car. With just 3 guest bedrooms the service is individual. Bedroom 1 can be double, twin or single occupancy. Bedroom 2 can be double or single. Bedroom 3 is a single room. All rooms go off the same staircase, so guests can combine any of the rooms for a group booking if required. Guests can truly make themselves "at home" with full use of a Guest Lounge and the Vine Room, which serves as the Breakfast Room, Dining Room and a seating area overlooking part of the garden. The large private garden is open for guest use at all times. With free wifi and writing area in each room, business people enjoy the facilities and uniqueness of this B & B and tourists benefit from a relaxed stay and excellent access to local tourist landmarks. Using local produce where possible, the breakfast menu has a varied menu including a full English breakfast; in addition guests can pre-order evening meals and packed lunches. Special diets are catered for provided details...
This bed and breakfast is situated in a small village with good links both to the local town and to the wider area. The property is detached and set in a large garden with a courtyard off the street which provides a generous parking area. Built in the 17th century and extended over time, the bed and breakfast rooms are situated in the original cottage and thence offer originality and charm. Near the village is the "Five pits walking trail" and the Grassmoor Country Park, and other local walks.
