Driftwood Cottage is located in the quiet South Devon village of Galmpton, in a conservation area just across the road from the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The lovely village shop is a 1-minute walk away, as is the quite exceptional local butcher. The local pub is a mere 3-minute walk with a second inn being slightly longer walk of 10 minutes. There are fantastic long and short walks from the cottage, including a short walk to Galmpton Creek – a little inlet of the Dart. The National Trust property of Greenway, former summer home of the world-famous author Agatha Christie is a mere 5-minute drive away or approximately 30-40 minutes beautiful walk. There is a quay at Greenway where visitors can park and catch a ferry across the river to the quaint little village of Dittisham, alternatively a ferry can be caught along a picturesque stretch of the Dart up to the famous sea-faring town of Dartmouth.
