Dunira is a beautifully presented and characterful cottage built in 1749. Nestled in the historic village of Falkland in Fife, it’s an ideal base for walking at the foot of the Lomond Hills or a relaxing break away in Scotland, with a selection of traditional pubs, cosy tearooms and quirky shops. Dunira sleeps two and is elegantly furnished with a large luxurious living space, well equipped and exquisitely finished kitchen and dining area, perfect for enjoying romantic meals on an evening away. Renovated with all modern appliances, you can find an electric oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, WiFi and DAB Radio. The living room on the ground floor, refurbished to the same modern standard with a homely atmosphere features a log burning fire, TV with Freeview and comfortable seating area. Follow the traditional cottage style stairs up to the bedroom, where the history of the cottage is highlighted with sloping ceilings and exposed beams. Across the landing you will find an exceptional bathroom, with large copper bathtub, overhead shower, basin and WC. Outside there is a charming lawned garden with patio seating area, a fine place to sit and relax. Locally, guests can enjoy all the peace of rural Scotland and yet the perks of the community close by, just a short walk from the local pub and nearest shops. Falkland offers something for everybody, with plenty of history to explore. Further afield, the cottage is approximately an hour’s drive from the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, or the seaside town of St Andrews, which is approximately a 30-minute drive away. Parking is available not far from Dunira, in a free village car park a short walk away. Please be aware the cottage does have steep internal stairs, a high sided bathtub and sloping ceilings and therefore may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. The overhead shower should only be used while in the sitting position as it's not designed to be used while standing
