Outside of the park further amenities can be found in Polgooth including a convenience store and the welcoming Polgooth Inn Head over to Mevagissey where you can visit the Mevagissey Museum embark on a fishing charter tour the Mevagissey Aquarium or sample fresh seafood at The Sharkfin. Continue onto Charlestown, where you can delve into history at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum or further onto the renowned Eden Project. For a taste of city life, be sure to check out Truro is home to a magnificent cathedral the Royal Cornwall Museum and the excellent Truro Golf Club. Numerous beaches around this area within a few miles reach is an added bonus. There's possibilities for swimming in few of them where bigger children are also allowed. St Austell and Truro has supermarkets and other shopping facilities including some good laundrettes that are a short driving distance from the park. Some National Trust preserved places around this area are one of the best opportunities to visit.
