The Cottage is located at the edge of the private grounds of Chillington Hall, the owners ask that residents do not enter areas that are signed as 'Private' or 'Private Woodlands'. The estate itself lies on the Staffordshire/Shropshire borders, providing a good base from which to discover both areas. Guests are able to explore the many public footpaths and bridleways that cross the 4000-acre estate (maps provided). On certain days of the year, the grounds are open to the public so they can explore the beautiful hall, the Capability Brown landscaped park and woodlands, as well as the 60-acre pool (see website for details).
