Just a short walk from Grasmere village centre, and with renowned Lake District walks beginning on the doorstep, Grey Crag Barn is the perfect luxury getaway for couples, families, or friends. A luxurious barn conversion with stunning views of the lake, village, and fells. The barn retains its original features and has been cleverly arranged to provide ample space for social gatherings. The ground-floor sitting room is complete with a large flat-screen TV, Wii console, and access to a shower room and WC. The top-floor living area enjoys breathtaking views through dual-aspect windows. Also upstairs is the kitchen, finished with stainless steel appliances and granite worktops, and a dining area that leads to the furnished terrace and sunny enclosed garden where you may catch a glimpse of the badgers who visit regularly, and occasionally red squirrels. There are king-size and twin bedrooms, both with excellent views over the valley to the fells beyond, and a quiet double overlooking the garden to the rear. All are well served by the family-size bathroom with a power shower over an air spa bath. Please note, this property is not suitable for babies or children under seven years old.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS Set just outside Grasmere in a quiet collection of traditional Lakeland slate buildings, Grasmere and Grey Crag barn has lots to offer. With the former home of poet William Wordsworth museum, with guided tours, The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, Faeryland rowing boat hire and tea garden, The famous Heaton Cooper Studio, and the woodland walks with the chance to see red squirrels at the National Trust’s Allan Bank. EATING AND DRINKS If you’re looking to venture out for food or drinks Tweedies Restaurant is popular pub with a great selection of ales and a good menu of food. The Jumble Room is a colourful and easy going restaurant with a menu that focuses on local and organic produce. The Forest Side a Michelin starred restaurant is a short walk from the property. Lucia’s Coffee + Bakehouse offers delicious croissants, brownies, sausage rolls filter coffee and more with friendly staff.
