The apartment has a private entrance and is on the lower ground floor of a classic North London Victorian terraced house on a peaceful Islington street. There are excellent transport links to central London - Soho / theatreland is just 30 mins door to door. Highbury is a highly sought-after, thriving residential neighbourhood with an excellent range of restaurants and cafes, plus two beautiful parks, two bookshops, two bakeries, an organic grocery, and a butcher's and fishmonger's all a short walk from the apartment. And of course it is only 15 mins walk to the Emirates, home of Arsenal FC.

We live with our two teenage boys in the maisonette upstairs. You won’t hear from us unless you want to but we are happy to help with queries and local tips and recommendations ;)

Highbury is a thriving and highly desirable residential London neighbourhood (Islington / zone 2). We have two beautiful parks (the famous Clissold Park with a great kids playpark / duck ponds and cafe is at the end of our road), restaurants and cafes to suit any budget, bookshops, pubs, the world famous Fromagerie, Godfrey’s butcher, the fab Hummingbird bakery and of course the Emirates stadium, home to Arsenal FC. Arsenal tube is a ten minute walk (Piccadilly line), Finsbury Park (Victoria line) is 15 mins walk or a 5 min hop on the bus. Door to door it’s less than half an hour to central London - Soho (Leicester Square) or Oxford Circus. Excellent bus, tube routes. Islington’s shopping district (Upper Street) is a 15 minute walk as is the bohemian Stoke Newington Church St with its wonderful array of independent shops. We do not recommend driving in London (this is a low traffic neighbourhood) but we can arrange visitor's street parking (charges weekdays and matchdays).
