The weekend brings a popular market to town, where you can source fresh local produce from regional suppliers including a butchers, bakers, fishmonger, fruit and cheese stands. Wimborne Minster, known locally as the Minster, has existed for over 1300 years and holds one of the few surviving chained libraries in the world. Situated on the edge of Wimborne town, one of the largest model towns in England offers all weather fun days out for visitors of all ages. The beautiful gardens, tea room, shop and undercover attractions are on offer. The famous Wimborne Market, just 15 minutes walk away, is held every Friday to Sunday selling antique/car boot items and farmers market on the Friday too. Find the Tivoli Theatre where tradition of showing both films and live stage performances continue to entertain visitors. The nearest beaches are at Bournemouth and Poole, just a 30 minute drive away. Poole Harbour has excellent sailing, whereas the surfers amongst you will delight in the surf reef at Boscombe.
