Hope Cottage has a living area with sofas and dining area, and kitchen. Upstairs is a double room and a bunk bed room, sleeping 4. We also have a sofa bed in the living room. We have a travel cot and a high chair for your little ones. Well behaved dogs are welcome and we have a self contained front garden area with table and chairs and a barbecue. It is lovely all year round, with the cottages on the Estate sharing an indoor and outdoor pool (outdoor pool open late May-early September), a tennis court, table tennis, games room, play area, walled garden, fishing lake and beautiful walks around the Estate. There's an information folder on the book shelf and a guest book packed full of ideas from other guests. There are DVDs, CDs, books and games for you to enjoy.

It's been a dream of ours to own a home in South Devon, for many years, since we used to enjoy family holidays in the area and have so many happy memories. We spend as much time as we can at Hope Cottage and let it as a holiday home for the rest of the year. We hope that we have thought of everything that will make your stay perfect and a home from home. As a graphic designer, I love to find little bits and pieces for the cottage and keep our social media up to date with places to visit, our favourite beaches, cafes and pubs. Although we don't live onsite we have a local housekeeper and an Estate Manager, who's details are in the information folder, and we are at the end of a phone.

The large Spar at the petrol station is within 5 minutes walk and sells a great range. The California Inn is also a 5 minute walk, and offers great food, and is doggy friendly. We are 15-20 minutes drive from beautiful beaches such as Bigbury Bay, Thurleston, South Milton, and the gorgeous towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth. Kingsbridge is 10-15 minutes drive. It really is a magical area, whether you're looking for quiet walks, shopping in pretty towns, sunbathing and sandcastles, high-class restaurants or pub food.
