With dozens of original features through, the Grade II listed Harold Villa has plenty of history within its walls. Located just off from the famous Skinner Street, this charming property has been transformed into a welcoming holiday home and has all of Whitby’s attractions within walking distance. With five ensuite bedrooms and a separate family bathroom, the property sleeps up to 10 guests, so you can gather your loved ones together and enjoy a stay in North Yorkshire to remember. Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to 500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Harold Villa sits on the West side of town, off Skinner Street which is popular with tourists. All of Whitby is within walking distance, with multiple cafes, restaurants and bars within a few hundred yards. The Magpie Cafe on the quayside is less than a ten-minute walk down through the quaint old Whitby ginnels, past multiple old fishermen's cottages. Straight up from Skinner street is Whitby West Cliff with views across the sea and access to the blue flag beach below. Walk over the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk and you’ll find yourself on the East bank. Walk along Church Street and you’ll wind up at the East bank where you’ll find narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
