The apartment was great for a single person for one night, in my case. Although I would have been more than happy to stay longer. It has everything you would need for a longer stay, in the way of equipment. The toiletries were great.

Middlesbrough is a diverse town, with different cultures living side by side, there are cultural experiences to explore around the area. I frequented various eating establishments in the Town Centre, none of these disappointed. The Hotel is situated where you can get to all amenities, with Public Transport/Taxis or drive yourself.

There are lots happening in Middlesbrough, the MIMA is brilliant and the Dorman Long Museum is great. Also you can travel by bus or train to Redcar and Saltburn which are both fantastic seaside towns. Redcar has lemon top ice creams that are brilliant and Salt burn has a victorian cliff railway. The fish and chips in both places are great. Middlesbrough has lots of restaurants and independent shops and the Transporter Bridge is a must see. Baker Street has lots of micro pubs The Twisted Lip is great.

Although Middlesbrough itself has limited appeal, apart from the Transporter Bridge, a small historic area and some attractive new housing developments nearby, the town is well placed for day trips by train - Hartlepool (for 19th century frigate Trincomalee and Royal Navy Museum), Whitby, North Yorkshire Moors, Shildon Railway Museum, Bishops Auckland - or bus (Durham, etc.)

I am from Middlesbrough so biased :) Haven't been back for a while and came to visit family. A shame to see so many shops in the centre closed down and too many nail, vape etc shops just like most places these days I suppose. We found a nice quirky cafe in town called Mannequin Cafe where we had some lunch. They have won a few awards and also do polish food. It seems the taxis here prefer cash over card payment. I used 2 taxis and tried to give them my card but they wanted cash. Seemed a bit odd. We enjoyed a great day out in Whitby and Preston Park which is great for kids. It has large playgrounds and Butterfly World. Plus a nice cafe selling ice-cream, lollies and cakes.

Things I like.. Lots of lovely places to eat.. Great shopping, 2 shopping precincts as well a busy high street.. Qwerky places to drink eg Bakers street.. Akbars is the best curry house as far a I'm concerned.. Enjoyed Dormans museum and Albert Park. The accommodation is really reasonable compared to surrounding areas so makes a great base to explore further afield too. Seaham is less than half an hour away.. Had great fun and some success searching for sea glass on the lovely beach.. Whitby was 40 mins away.. Great for a fab, lively day trip.. Whitby museum was worth checking out too.. Guisborough is a great little market town that's 20 mins away.. Priory ruins and gardens little market 3 times a week and fab coffee..

We visited in part due to a family funeral but with the intention to explore the town in addition. We really enjoyed the MIMA modern & contemporary art gallery and the Dorman museum, Stewart Park and several of the local shops. We should like to have had another day ideally as we are aware that we missed some of the other parks and so on. We were fortunate too because there were events going on with music, arts, children's activities, crafts, street performers, artisan markets and it made for a wonderful atmosphere in the sunshine. There was a real sense of community in evidence and so many people would chat with us, nice friendly place to visit and under-rated we thought.

Full English breakfast plentifull and very tasty, Rijo 42 coffee machine in reception, including Latte, Mocha, and much more ( which were all included in the room rate) All the staff were very professional, with nothing too much trouble, especially the young lady who looked after us at breakfast . Hotel within walking distance of Riverside Stadium and town centre. Free on site secure parking. We would definitely book this hotel again, but would hope for a better result Boro 2-1 ITFC

Had a great 3-night stay at the Town Centre Double Private Rooms in Middlesbrough. The location was super convenient, just a short walk to shops, restaurants, and public transport. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Check-in was smooth, and the host was friendly and responsive throughout. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free experience I’d definitely stay here again!
