The bustling village of Deddington is set in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, part of which has been accredited as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The village itself is a wonderful base for a holiday offering four great pubs, a couple of restaurants, village stores, boutique, spa, florist, hair salon and a perfectly placed tea room - a great spot to spend an hour or two with a paper or people watching! Every other Saturday there's also the French market - definitely worth a look. The surrounding area offers some stunning walks, beautiful scenery, plenty of historical buildings and some major attractions too. These include Soho Farmhouse (15 minutes away), Bicester Village and it's 160+ designer boutiques, Daylesford Organic, Blenheim Palace (see the website for some amazing year-round events), Oxford city centre is just 17 minutes on a train or the bus goes from the market place on the hour. Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm is just 15 minutes away, Silverstone Race Track is 25 minutes away and Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle are a 40-50 minute drive. For foodies there's plenty of places to enjoy including many Michelin Guide restaurants (but don't forget the Tapas at Wykham Farm, freshly baked cakes and gelato at Quince and Clover and the best pies at The Marlstone Tavern). There's also Hook Norton Brewery for those that appreciate a good pint and a number of Artisan distilleries too! If you have children staying with you there's so much to do here including Cotswold Wildlife Park, Cotswold Park Farm, Crocodiles of the Word, Newbottle Woods and Blenheim also has a maze, two adventure playgrounds and a toy train.
