Bolthole Retreats was founded in 2017 by Martin McWilliam and is based in Cheltenham. We are the leading independent agency for Cotswold holiday rental properties. Jasmine Cottage is a charming, converted barn built in local Cotswold stone and furnished in a country cottage style. It was originally part of the stables to the once adjacent, 18th-century coaching inn called The Crown, and its exposed beams are a reminder of its rich history. The cottage has a reverse-living design with two bedrooms (one ensuite) and a family bathroom on the ground floor, and an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, with a log burning stove and double sofa bed, on the first floor. There is a private garden, with an outside dining area and shared use of an outdoor swimming pool, separate children's play area with swings, slide and trampoline. Jasmine Cottage is in the village of Witcombe, approximately 6 miles and 15 minutes by road from each of Cheltenham and Gloucester. It is close to the M5 (J11A), A417 (links to the M4), A436/A40 (to Oxford) and A46 (Cheltenham to Stroud). Crickley Hill is a prominent spur of the Cotswold escarpment. It overlooks the Severn Vale, with magnificent views towards Robinswood Hill and May Hill, and the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountain beyond. There's evidence of human activity on the hill going back to 4,000 BC. The area called the Scrubbs takes its name from the brushwood that existed before the planting of the present beech woodland in the 18th century. Jasmine Cottage is close to the A417.
