Kirby Cottage is a secluded two bedroom cottage located in the pretty village of Harome which lies in the Howardian Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and on the edge of the North Yorkshire National Park.

Information correct at time of writing. Harome is an attractive village dotted with pretty cottages (many thatched), a church and one renowned restaurant, The Pheasant Hotel, awarded a 3 rosette restaurant within walking distance of Kirby Cottage. Unfortunately, the famous Star Inn at Harome has suffered a devastating fire and is not currently trading. The North York Moors are renowned for the countless walks to be taken through it's beautiful landscape. The market towns of Kirkbymoorside, Pickering, Malton, and Thirsk are all within 20 miles. York can be reached in less than 45 minutes. There is an excellent Park and Ride service from the outskirts of the city of York where you can find a wealth of museums and historic buildings as well as theatres, cinemas and restaurants. There are numerous other places of interest, all a short drive away. Rievaulx Abbey, Byland Abbey, Castle Howard, Mount Grace Priory, Hutton le Hole and the North York Moors Railway are a sample of the many attractions in the area.
