From Long Barn you are ideally situated to explore the beauty and history of the Cotswolds, from dozens of pretty villages and beautiful market towns offering a wide range of independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Just 5 miles away is the market town of Cirencester, often referred to as the capital of the Cotswolds, dating back to the Roman Times, it provides fascinating history, architecture, attractions and places to eat. Slightly further away is the town of Tetbury which is the second largest town in the Cotswolds and once was an important market for Cotswold wool and yarn during the Middle Ages. Today though, it is better associated with boutique shops and great food. Just outside of Tetbury is Highgrove the residence of HRH Prince Charles and is host to some beautiful and charming gardens. Garden tours are available and is open throughout the summer, however advance booking is required. Arboretum at Westonbirt, set in 600 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside including 17 miles of footpaths to explore.
