Set back from the road passing through the village, it truly feels rural surrounded by countryside, and is a stylish and luxurious base from which to explore the area. Great care and attention has been lavished on restoring and decorating the barn, with reclaimed floorboards throughout and some original stone walls kept intact. The secluded and private outside seating area overlooks the field beyond. The village of Meare is set on the beautiful Somerset Levels, by the River Brue. It is 3 miles west of Glastonbury and 10 miles from Wells, England’s smallest city. The area is famous for its nature reserves, a favourite of walkers and birdwatchers.
