A gorgeous cottage offering a luxury retreat for up to eight guests in one of the most sought-after Yorkshire villages, Osmotherley. On the edge of the North York Moors it a a perfect spot to explore from, plus there are 3 village pubs, an enclosed garden with a pizza oven, and four stylish bedrooms to enjoy.

When it comes to exploring, the North York Moors are on your doorstep offering plenty of walking and cycling routes. Whilst there is plenty to do in and around Osmotherley for a day - we love Cod Beck Reservoir, the village Coffee Shop and nearby Thimbleby shooting ground - ramblers can pack their bags with local produce and head into the hills for the day. Further afield take a scenic drive over the North York Moors, with plenty of unique market towns to explore such as Stokesley, Thirsk, and Helmsley. Also recommended is one of our favourite pubs, The Owl at Hawnby. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, lose yourself in the majesty of the Moors and enjoy oven-fired pizzas and an extensive menu. Nearby to this Yorkshire holiday cottage is Northallerton, 6 miles away. The market town offers everyday shopping, the wonderful Barkers department store, and a mix of eateries from pub grub to coffee shops. Lewis and Cooper is an award-winning independent store full of flavoursome food and fine wine. Whilst there, also make sure to visit the famous Betty’s Tea Room, featured on BBC’s Remarkable Places to Eat for their highly recommended ‘Fat Rascal’ cake. A colourful shopping experience are the Wednesday and Saturday markets with a great range of stallholders. The thriving town of York is within an hour’s drive of this gorgeous cottage. York is a great day out for all ages, exploring the Minster, the pretty street called The Shambles, and Jorvik museum is an interactive 'Viking City' and a firm family favourite. The city is a great days shopping, and has plenty of great food and drink on offer. Near Paddock View is Mount Grace Priory, a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk. The preserved 14th-century Carthusian monastery has a surviving tower and reconstructed monks cell. Then, wander the Manor House and enjoy acres of gardens that attract a huge amount of wildlife.
